LTS meeting notes

Hello Everyone,

Here are the notes from today's LTS meeting:

- Roll Call
- Toulouse LTS meeting details for contributors who'd like to join (Beuc)
+ Some time for freexian-specific activities, social gatherings, etc.
+ Talk about LTS submitted by roberto: "How LTS goes beyond LTS"
+ Other talks submitted by other LTS contributors
+ Lots of opportunities to gather, but nothing specifically planned
    yet, no precise date yet
+ There's MiniDebCamp, then MiniDebConf, then a Freexian sprint; feel
free to send a mail to the team list to check who's around when
- Work on unstable to ensure the LTS version or latest upstream version
complex packages get into trixie. (santiago)
+ Future trixie-lts will be easier to maintain if we help ensure fixed
versions are there too (patched versions, new upstream fixed versions,
    etc.)
  + Like https://lts-team.pages.debian.net/wiki/TestSuites.html maybe
start a new collection of package-specific notes about problematic
packages (runc, mariadb...) that might require an EOL during the
supported period; where we could help the maintainer to have the
package in good shape before LTS
+ helmut: similarly help stabilitize autopkgtests (in particular: if
only 1 test is "normally" failing this breaks our current regression
checks, so it's crucial those tests are robust)
+ santiago: similar issue with helping stable (bookworm), will then a
follow-up to current thread ("Proposing changes to
    lts/git/packages-to-support*")
- AOB
+ pochu will publish first Freexian-signed kernel [secureboot support
in ELTS]; new shim can boot both debian- and freexian-signed bootload
stack; thanks to all who contributed
+ thanks to rouca for providing work on long-standing difficult
    packages (mariadb, apache2...)
- Next meeting: 2024-11-28 14:00 UTC [Location: #debian-lts on IRC]
