Package : rear
Version : 2.6+dfsg-1+deb11u1
CVE ID : CVE-2024-23301
Debian Bug : 1060747

It has been discovered that Relax-and-Recover (aka ReaR) creates a
world-readable initrd when using GRUB_RESCUE=y. This allows local
attackers to gain access to system secrets otherwise only readable by
root.

For Debian 11 bullseye, this problem has been fixed in version
2.6+dfsg-1+deb11u1.

We recommend that you upgrade your rear packages.
