please make sure you have matching versions of live-* in the image,
either that being *both* live-config/live-boot 3.x, or *both* 4.x, but
not mixed versions.

also, just to make sure.. i assume you can reproduce it with a 'clean'
built image on virtualbox too, right?

Reason for my interest is, I need luks-persistence working on a custom wheezy build. It does not work at all with live-boot 3x from sid.

Anyway I rebuilt this (wheezy) image with all 4x versions from experimental. Live-debconfig was a required dep.. took some time to learn how to configure that before things would work.

:/# dpkg -l|grep live-|awk '{print $1 " " $2 " " $3}'
ii live-boot 4.0~a7-1
ii live-boot-doc 4.0~a7-1
ii live-boot-initramfs-tools 4.0~a7-1
ii live-config 4.0~a15-1
ii live-config-doc 4.0~a15-1
ii live-config-sysvinit 4.0~a15-1
ii live-debconfig 4.0~a18-1
ii live-debconfig-doc 4.0~a18-1
ii live-tools 4.0~a8-1

It seems to work normally except:

With luks persistence and "debug" used together it hangs in exactly the same way as before!

Can't do anything useful here with virtualbox, too slow.
