which is well know, several times already discussed (with you too :), and on the wheezy todo.
so far, (as i've explained) i haven't updated it on *purpose* yet since the manpages need a complete rewrite to match reality, not just for that one option, and that means going to the whole code and write the manpage alongside.
as you can see, also not even the bootparameter has been updated (since it's not long ago that the final name has been choosen; persistence-subtext vs. persistence-label).
but all that is not the point of the bug.. so, my initial question still stands.
