On http://live.debian.net/manual/en/html-single/live-manual.html#image_copying there is only the istructions for image VFAT For squeeze the only img are iso-hybrid. I don't know if my problem is because I download the img on a sd-card (vfat) and from this to a usb stick (I have a eeepc with only 500 GB free on HD), but both: dd if=debian-live-60alpha2-i386-rescue.iso of=${USBSTICK} cat debian-live-60alpha2-i386-rescue.iso > ${USBSTICK} give me an usb-stick that I can mount in loop but is not bootable (the same with xfce img). I have a bootable stick with the option bs=1048576 dd if=debian-live-60alpha2-i386-rescue.iso of=${USBSTICK} bs=1048576 I am not subscribed, please CC me. Sorry for my bad and unpolite English. Thanks for your work (I used your debian-live to rescue a PC after a bad upgrade of grub). -- Ave Johan Haggi ante diem tertium Kalendas Septembres MMDCCLXIII ab Urbe condita **NEW** GnuPG key-id: 0x398F1A73 (available on http://keyserver.linux.it) Fingerprint: 75D4 86D5 B795 BD31 4BD2 2354 9206 CB42 398F 1A73
