sendmail X license (fwd)
I've been asked to run this by a larger audience...
They honestly want feedback, so I'll collect any
thoughts/gripes/whathaveyou and send them back.

---------- Forwarded message ----------
After receiving some feedback about the proposed new sendmail
license, we have removed the two "offending" clauses. Attached is
the current version of the license. This license is basically the
same as the one for sendmail 8 with the following changes:
1. Clause 5 has been added.
2. The other main change is the removal of clause 5 from the
sendmail 8 license which has been superseded by clause 2 because
the new sendmail version includes code from more sources than just
the University of California, hence clause 2 has a generic reference
to "contributors".
We would like to hear your comments about these changes, i.e.,
whether the new license is as acceptable as the sendmail 8 license.
We are currently not looking for general comments about the license
(we know that many would prefer a simple BSD style license), but
only about the changes compared to the current license.
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
