Please review the previous threads on this topic. Amongst other
things, you will find:
- your preferred definition is not shared by all dictionaries;
- your preferred definition still includes FDL-covered works in its
definition of software;
- many dictionaries are produced by people who produce other
proprietary "content" for computers who have reasons to try to avoid
their work being called "software";
- this is mostly irrelevant to Debian, as the DFSG intent is pretty
clear;
- your view is the minority view.
Please repost when you have new data.
