Wireless on Acer Aspire E-15

Having upgraded my broadband connection so that 5G is now supported, how
do I get Debian 8 to support it? My 7-year-old MacBook sees it, and
connects... Is a firmware upgrade required or something?

I found this with "dmesg":

[ 7.168029] ath: phy0: WB335 2-ANT card detected
[ 7.168040] ath: phy0: Set BT/WLAN RX diversity capability
[ 7.174831] ath: phy0: Enable LNA combining
[ 7.175932] ath: EEPROM regdomain: 0x65
[ 7.175934] ath: EEPROM indicates we should expect a direct regpair map

Linux debbie 3.16.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.16.39-1+deb8u2 (2017-03-07) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Thanks.
