Hello Mobil-$USERS,
I write here, because it is a "mobil" question and I think, Laptop-Users
have more experienc in it...
OK, I have a Motorcaravan/Mobilhome and currently Using a Motorola
RDX2000 via Satelit and 120cm parabol. Quiet expensive for 80 kBit/Sec
I need a mobil Internet connection less expensive for arround 5-10 GByte
Traffic per month (60% up-stream and 40% down-stream).
Now UMTS is runing worldwide, it will be an interesting solution.
OK, currenly quiet expensive, because the german GSM-Provider "O2" with
sell the "Data-Pack Volume 500" (500 hours, incl. 500MB) for 104,50 Euro
and 0,81 Euro/MByte plus.
What I want to know is:
1) My Motorcaravan/Mobilhome has a full network (no Laptops) and
I wnat to know what is better to use:
a) PCMCIA UMTS-Card
b) Externel UMTS-Router
2) Becasue I can attacht a standard FAX and analog Telephones to
the UMTS-Routers, is it possibel for the PCMCIA UMTS-Cards too?
3) Which Manufacturer and Type of UMTS Materiel? Prices?
4) Is there UMTS Hardware which support multiple GSM-Sims?
5) Which Countries support UMTS?
Germany YES
France YES
Spain ?
Morocco ?
Algeria ?
Tunesia ?
Lybia ?
Egypt ?
Turkey ?
Syria ?
Palestine/Israel ?
Iran ?
Jordan ?
