Always a probleme with the monitor mode

Hi,

I am a young network administrator and i need you help. I have a
wireless network to test on my bussiness and for that reason i bought
the orinoco gold card (monitor mode and a good price).
I have a Toshiba Laptop 2450 and a kernel 2.6.14.

Linux Seth 2.6.14 #1 SMP Fri Jan 20 11:34:25 CET 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

I use the orinoco driver 0.15RC2 and i suppose the monitor patch is
include on it.
This is the resul of dmesg | grep orinoco
orinoco 0.15rc2 (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel
Roskin <proski@gnu.org>, et al)
orinoco_cs 0.15rc2 (David Gibson <hermes@gibson.dropbear.id.au>, Pavel
Roskin <proski@gnu.org>, et al)

I thought it was a good beginning but i ve made a mistake.

This is the result of lsmod :

Module Size Used by
snd_pcm_oss 56864 0
snd_mixer_oss 22912 4 snd_pcm_oss
orinoco_cs 18056 1
pcmcia 44588 5 orinoco_cs
joydev 13760 0
parport_pc 45380 0
parport 41288 1 parport_pc
yenta_socket 31116 6
rsrc_nonstatic 17536 1 yenta_socket
pcmcia_core 48408 3 pcmcia,yenta_socket,rsrc_nonstatic

And in conclusion this is teh result of iwconfig :

eth1 IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"My_Network" Nickname:"Seth"
          Mode:Managed Bit Rate:11 Mb/s
          RTS thr:off
          Encryption key:7365-6375-31 Security mode:open
          Link Quality:0 Signal level:134 Noise level:134
          Rx invalid nwid:0 invalid crypt:0 invalid misc:0

The ifconfig eth1 said me that :

eth1 Lien encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:2D:38:5B:F6
          inet adr:192.168.1.12 Bcast:192.168.1.255
Masque:255.255.255.0
          BROADCAST PROMISC MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 lg file transmission:1000
          RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:0 (0.0 b)
          Interruption:3 Adresse de base:0xc100

But the result of this command : airmon start eth1 is
eth1 HermesI orinocoSIOCSIFFLAGS: Périphérique ou
ressource occupé
 (monitor mode enabled)

And when i launch kismet , ive got that :
Server options: none
Client options: none
Starting server...
Waiting for server to start before starting UI...
Suid priv-dropping disabled. This may not be secure.
No specific sources given to be enabled, all will be enabled.
Enabling channel hopping.
Enabling channel splitting.
Source 0 (HermesI): Enabling monitor mode for orinoco source interface
eth1 channel 10...
FATAL: channel get ioctl failed 16:Device or resource busy

And in conclusion the result of iwpriv is:

eth1 Available private ioctls :
          force_reset (8BE0) : set 0 & get 0
          card_reset (8BE1) : set 0 & get 0
          set_port3 (8BE2) : set 1 int & get 0
          get_port3 (8BE3) : set 0 & get 1 int
          set_preamble (8BE4) : set 1 int & get 0
          get_preamble (8BE5) : set 0 & get 1 int
          set_ibssport (8BE6) : set 1 int & get 0
          get_ibssport (8BE7) : set 0 & get 1 int
          get_rid (8BE9) : set 0 & get 1024 byte

Did somebody encounter the problem ?? Could you help me to find a
solution to this problem ? When i used Whax distrib , it is ok : the
card is on and kismet is ok ?
Please help me to solve it ! I prefer to use Debian !!
Thanks for you help !!!
best regards

PP

P.s: Sorry, but english is not my native language !!
