Nah, you won't have to reinstall it. Changes you've made to the appearance of
gnome are saved to a folder in your home directory and do not affect systemwide
things. The way that will work in any way will be to purge your .gnome or .gnome2
folder in your home directory, but be warned, you'd be loosing all your settings.
So i'd recommend 2 things to ya:
1. wait if someone here on the list can tell you how you can restore them via some
menu action in gnome (i'm not a gnome specialist)
2. if no one can actually help you fix that, do not delete the folders but move them
out of the way. (like renaming them to .gnome_old / .gnome2_old). This way you'll
have still the backup of your old stuff and don't risk loosing something.
