Thanks, got esound-clients installed.
No joy on skype, though.
With a "esddsp -m" before starting skype, skype STILL complains:
/dev/dsp-1: Device or resource busy
Going the opensound route, I got it downloaded and made numerous
attempts to install, finally getting modules sound, sb and others
unloaded. The install script still refused to go claiming the sound
module was still installed. At this time, my best guess is that the
install script is broken.
windows users claim easy and successful installs. Bah! Humbug!
