NB: How to make ACPI working on Compaq Presario 1200?

Hi,

when I used APM, then Suspend-to-RAM key (Fn+F4) worked, but when
I switched to ACPI (kernel-source 2.4.20 from testing, however
rest of Linux is woody), it does nothing. I have tried to read
ACPI documentation, but I am not much clever from it (attached is
output of grep ACPI /var/log/messages for currently running
system). I have installed acpid and it is running.

It is nice, that I can set up some scripts etc., but how should
I connect it all to keyboard? How to tell Linux, that Fn+F4 means
Suspend-to-RAM? Or ACPI doesn't work on this computer? Are there
any positive informations how to make it work?

When trying Fn+F4 I get in /var/log/messages this line:

Jan 10 19:14:18 komensky kernel: keyboard: unknown scancode e0 5f

What does it mean?

When trying

   echo 1 > /proc/acpi/sleep

computer freezes (no reaction to any key).

The same goes for the power-button, which under M$-Windows runs
hibernation. Is there any way how to make it work?

Which Debian package contains programs like acpidmp, acpidisasm,
etc.?

Thanks for any answers to my questions,

   Matej

We are told that [St. Anthony] once fell into dejection, finding
uninterrupted contemplation above his strength; but was taught to
apply himself at intervals to manual labour by a vision of an
angel who appeared platting mats of palm-tree leaves, then rising
to pray, and after some time sitting down again to work; and who
at length said to him, "Do thus, and thou shalt be saved."
