| setserial should be applied to *real* serial devices, like
| /dev/ttySx , also it's only neccessary in some rare cases.
|
| You didn't mention the configuration of /etc/irda.conf ,
|
#irda.conf Version: 1.0
IRDADEV=/dev/ttyS3
#DONGLE= # specify dongle type
DISCOVERY=-s
ENABLE=yes # if you do not need to start irattach, set "no"
How can I know if the SIR is correct ?
| set the SIR device etc. there and restart IrDA.
|
/etc/init.d/irda restart
Restarting IrDA service: 1.1 Tue Nov 9 15:30:55 1999 Dag Brattli
irattach.
...
Aug 7 11:18:25 tanna irattach: tcsetattr: Input/output errors
...
AAARRGGGHHHH !:-)
| Then watch irdadump , if this detects all the
| IrDA devices you can go further. For details see the InfraRed-HOWTO
| http://mobilix.org/howtos.html
|
I'have red your HOWTO Werner and done all you describe (I think :-)
I have certainly missed something and that's why I ask for help on
the list .

Thanks a lot
