I don't think that would help.  Apparently PCMCIA doesn't recognize
the card.  ide-cs or ide_cs is then meaningless.

I had a similar problem on my old laptop: the network card that I got
together with it (used) sometimes failed to be recognized, and
pcmcia-cs said "Anonymous Memory".  A couple reinserts and it worked,
usually.
