I would expect it to be in debian/po/de.po of the source package. Not
sure if the template name really helps you, in the
/var/cache/debconf/config.dat file the entry is like this:
#v+
Name: console-setup/variant
Template: console-setup/variant
Value: Deutschland - Akzenttatsen deaktivieren
Owners: console-setup
Flags: seen
Variables:
CHOICES = Andere, Deutschland, Deutschland - Akzenttatsen deaktivieren, Deutschland - Dvorak, Deutschland - Macintosh, Deutschland - Macintosh (ohne Akzenttasten), Deutschland - Neo 2, Deutschland - Niedersorbisch, Deutschland - Niedersorbisch (qwertz), Deutschland - Ohne Acute-('"'"')Akzentzeichen, Deutschland - Ohne Grave-(`) und Acute-('"'"')Akzentzeichen, Deutschland - qwerty, Deutschland - Rumänische Tastatur mit deutschen Buchstaben, Deutschland - Rumänische Tastatur mit deutschen Buchstaben\, ohne Akzenttasten, Deutschland - Sun-Akzenttasten
#v-
Hope that helps!
