Ich finde "Voreinstellung" treffender. Es geht ja nicht wirklich um
Standards sondern um eine Einstellung, die der Programmautor oder der
Debian-Paketbetreuer für sinnvoll gehalten hat.

"Objekte" finde ich unschön, obwohl es eigentlich eine treffende
Übersetzung ist. Ich werde wohl "Dateien" schreiben.

Wenn man spitzfindig ist, könnte man argumentieren, dass die Daten
beim Herunterfahren verloren gehen und beim Neustart schon verloren
*sind*.
