This gives us the seriously overlength:

 Description: monitoring and management system for network hosts - icinga-dataobjects support

I picked "monitoring" to eliminate on the grounds that you can't
claim to be managing something you aren't capable of monitoring
(insert Dilbert joke here), but yes, do netsaint's descendants even
run with sufficient privileges to "manage" my network services?  So
how about the obvious alternative approach:

 Description: monitoring system for network hosts - [...]

Or here's an option I considered at one point:

 Description: modular service monitoring framework - [...]

(until I moved those buzzwords into the first line).
