Re: 7.4.1 minor issues

1. (Klaus) Thanks for fixing this. Actually I did check the index*.html file, scanned through the whole body and couldn't find any version info, I re-checked and you are correct, it was right there in the title, which I spaced on, so that was fail on my part.

1. (Andrew) You are also right on this, except that I only copied the /KNOPPIX/ folder to the hard drive on that one. Alot of time I do this so I can boot from DVD/USB and load from the HD with the 'fromhd' cheatcode.
With USB, the pecking order for searching usually picks the HD (at sda1) over the USB (at sdb, etc) so I don't even need the cheatcode. Also on the CD/DVD this is also accomplished with a bit of wrist action on the eject button during boot.

2. Thanks for changing the clock color.

4. I did not know the compressed filesystem was the same between the DE and EN versions, I just thought something was missed during the 'convert' from DE to EN. That must be some serious script-foo you have going on there.

Klaus, thank you for all you have done with Knoppix over the years, I have been using Knoppix almost daily since version 3.4 or 3.5, can't remember which. It's been well over 10 years now.

Eric.

Hi Eric, for what it's worth:

1. For many versions now, I've been checking boot/*/boot.msg to determine
version number (and release date).  For example,
    $ tail -n 1 /mnt-system/boot/*/boot.msg

4. Has this ever been otherwise?  This always made sense to me, since this
has always been the main page for Knoppix and there is a link on the page
for the English version.  The URL for English might change (for example,
from /knoppix/index-en.html to /knoppix/en/ or /knoppix/en.html or
/knoppix/index-en.php or, etc., etc., etc.).

Regards,
Andrew
