[debian-knoppix] Knoppix-v3.2-2003-03-30-EN.iso

I just downloaded and burned Knoppix-v3.2-2003-03-30-EN.iso
and booted up.
Can you say "kdeinit slow!"? I have had 3.1 on the same
machine (granted it is a old 150Mhz machine) take 2+ minutes
to load - Understood! However, 3.2 KDE seems to take about
5 minutes just to get to the configure square with the
flashing devices. That seems a bit to much. I had time to
setup a coffee pot and turn it on and still no loaded KDE.
Has anyone else noticed this long kde bootup?
I might suggest old FVWM2. It may be old but it works.
