Ist bei der Platteninstallation vielleicht ein gpm mit installiert
worden? Wenn ja, bitte mal ohne gpm probieren (Symlinks in
/etc/rc*.d/*gpm entfernen bzw. gpm -k).
gpm hängt beim Start von X gerne Tastatur und Maus auf.
Kann aber auch an einer falschen Einstellung in /etc/X11/XF86Config-4
liegen.
