[debian-knoppix] DWL-650 wireless support ?

Hi Folks,

I stumbled across Knoppix by sugestion of a friend, and have been very
impressed !

Here's my question - please be kind.

I'm having trouble getting my dwl-650 (Rev.J3) card working under Knoppix.
I have successfully had it working under 2.4.18 with wlan-ng
(0.1.14-pre5). Here's what I'm seeing:

The card is recognized as Prism2 (and shows the serial number), and it
looks like it's trying to associate. I run wlcardconfig to set my essid
and keys, but it comes back with:
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
"SET failed on device wlan0; Function not implemented"

Am I missing something - or is this a problem ?

On a side note: I can put the card into monitor mode and sniff with
Airsnort without issues.

Also, is there a configuration script for the Avaya/Orinoco card, or is
'iwconfig' still the best/only way to acheive this ?

Thanks in advance,
Greg.
