Re: [debian-knoppix] Knoppix software & space on CD discuss

Openoffice is BLOATED and doesn't work to good on older computers, such as a Pentium 133 with 32 megs of ram. Koffice, on the other hand does. I do NOT have KDE or Gnome installed, but do have the libs needed for the software that is installed. I use Fluxbox for the window manager.

A potential solution, but would require a little work is to only have one language on the cd. All those language files take up space. You could just remaster your own copy of Knoppix, removing and adding applicatins you want.
