This driver is included in Mandrake's kernel, for exemple. I've tested it, 
it's more stable than the actual version in current kernel and more webcams 
are supported. 
This driver is included in 2.5 kernel branch. 
I think that the patch isn't hard to do, it's a little and simple module.
