The old iso was only able to mount the root partition and then copy the files over to that root partitions. Other partitions although being allow to create was not able to mount during the install.
Ok, I assume that you are asking about the contributed INSTALLER here
(knx-hdinstall), and not about Knoppix itself!
In this case, please direct your question to Christian Perle (who is
reading this list), the author of the installer.
