Bug#1081833: linux-image-6.1.0-25-amd64: regression on linux-image-6.1.0-25.amd64 regular cracks in HDMI sound during playback - 6.1.0-23 works.
Hello,
I've noticed this bug as well. I find it notable that I'm also using an
AMD GCN-era GPU (in my case, an RX 480). I can also confirm that
6.1.0-23 is good and 6.1.0-25 is bad.
I tried to reproduce this by cloning the source from kernel.org and
checking out 6.1.106, but the problem doesn't seem to happen when using
the upstream 6.1.106 source. This suggests to me it's probably an
interaction between a Debian patch and an upstream change.
How should I go about figuring out what change caused it? Normally I'd
just bisect it, but that doesn't apply straightforwardly here.
