Please test the latest unstable version (6.10.9-1) to see whether this has been fixed. If not, please report the bug upstream, following <https://drm.pages.freedesktop.org/intel-docs/how-to-file-i915-bugs.html>. We don't patch the i915 driver or drm core, so it should be OK to do so even though you are running a distribution kernel. Let us know the upstream bug URL so we can track it.
