As per I can see from the message that ubuntu team will maintain thekernel till April, 2014. I believe Jessie will be supported muchlonger than that.

It will be maintained by the Ubuntu kernel team until April 2016, thenBen Hutchings from the Debian

kernel team will probably take over the maintenance.
