Bug#664461: atl1c: AR8152: "transmit queue 0 timed out" and network is unusable until reset

Thanks. Of course this can be forwarded to the bug log.

So even the kernel that I patched using the script will be replaced by a regular kernel.
Good.

after finally understanding how the script is used to apply the patches and testing the
kernel with both patches applied for nearly a week, I can gladly report that everything
works smootthly (except for other bugs which have been there all along: the microphone not
working and the touchpad not being recognized as such).

Great. Mind if I forward this information to the bug log?

                                                                                 And, once
the patches are included in the regular Squeeze kernel, how do I switch back to it?

The version number will increase so a normal upgrade will get them.
