Comments/Problems:

I chanced to leny while Lenny was testing. Lenny works with kernel 2.6.25.2.
When Lenny changed to 2.6.26 installation with apt seems to work, but did not
start. Booting stops with:
Setting console screen modes and fonts.
I have to reset the computer.

Now when Lenny is stable I tried again. The computer started with the image of
the CD. I choose textual installation an the screen becomes black. I had to
reset the computer.
Doing the installation in graphical mode seems to work however when booting
the newly installed system it still hangs with
Setting console screen modes and fonts

Because the system starts with 2.6.25 and does not start with 2.6.26 I think a
peace of code is missing in 2.6.26 whitch is responsible for configuring the
console.

2.6.26 hangs when when processing the script /etc/init.d/console-screen.sh and
there when processing /usr/bin/consolechars

When I commended out processing /etc/init.d/console-screen.sh then system
hangs when starting X (I suggess) and has to be reseted.
