yes!!!
I have an old laptop with a bad internal WiFi board,
so I bought a newer RaLink 802.11n USB key. To make
it work, I had to activate these options. I didn't
test the PCI one, but reasonably, it will be same.
Once I had the option, it worked PERFECTLY! :)
I had a quick look in the code. Without the option,
the PCI/USB IDs aren't even recognized. So, if you
buy the hardware, better have something that is
experimental than no support at all.
