I have no specific objection. However, I thought that as a general rule we cherry-pick fixes and new hardware support rather than completely updating drivers. I'm aware that we've broken that rule for sfc and for DRM, but in those cases we have a commitment from upstream to support the backport. Can we get that for igb?
