Bug#572024: linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64: During boot, Kernel 2.6.32 prints trace to screen then hangs
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-5
Severity: important
Early in the boot process, kernel writes a trace to the screen then freezes.
The problem is intermittent. About one boot attempt in 5 succeeds.
Waiting a several minutes does not unfreeze the boot.
I am preparing this report under 2.6.31, as I have not succeeded in the last several attempts to boot 2.6.32.
I have a photo of the screen at the freeze point, which I will try to send as an attachment.
I have pasted an extract from syslog at the end of this report.
This problem arose when I was attempting to recreate Bug#557033, but I have no reason to believe it is related.
The computer is Intel core i7 with raid 1 (mirrored).
