Bug#585961: linux-image-2.6.32-5-686: External monitor's available resolutions not properly detected

With linux-image-2.6.32-5-686 kernel, I can't use my external monitor to its
best resolution (1680x1040), only degraded ones ! In the 'dmesg' output, I can
see some EDID errors :

And then, I can only get a 1360x768 resolution (instead of 1680x1440) :
