Which versions?

Please also send the output of:

ip address show
cat /proc/net/dev
cat /etc/network/interfaces

In future, please submit bugs using reportbug and specify the kernel
image package (e.g. linux-image-2.6.32-3-686) not the metapackage
(linux-image-2.6-686).  This will automatically include useful system
information without the need for further questions.
