Almost all our bug fixes are included in stable releases via kernel.org. When a patch that we apply is incorporated into an upstream stable update, we revert our patch before applying the stable update. However, we leave our patch in the source package until we switch to a new upstream version. This is because the Debian Installer kernel packages are not always in sync with the ordinary kernel packages, and we still need to provide full source for them.
