Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.9.1-2
Severity: important

When KMS is enabled, sometimes the display will seem to shift to the
left or right whilst I'm running X. This happens fairly frequently.
Eventually, the display will turn all white, and I will be unable to do
anything: the mouse cursor (along with everything else) is gone and
changing VTs does not work. I have not tested if the machine is able to
be SSHed into.

If KMS is not enabled, everything works fine.

I don't recall this happening with 2.6.30, but I can't be sure. I do
recall it being significantly worse with 2.6.32 than with 2.6.31.

I frequently suspend and resume my laptop (I'm a consultant); I am
unsure if this only occurs after I have suspended it once or not. I
also use compiz as my window manager. If you need me to test whether
this behavior occurs without compiz or without suspending, or really
anything else, please let me know.
