when I use this kernel boot an SUN E450 with 2 CPUS, it will shows alloc virtual mem error in initial the NIC and stop here.
 
when I use kernel-image-2.6.8-2-sparc64-smp, it is OK.
 
I am using Debian GNU/Linux etch for sparc64.
