- Subject: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686: dhclient does not connect to wlan
- From: ziegler@uni-freiburg.de
- Date: Wed, 21 May 2008 14:43:07 +0200
- Message-id: <E1Jynet-0004zV-Ck@tux00.mathematik.uni-freiburg.de>
Package: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686
Version: 2.6.25-3
Severity: important
I use the iwl3945 driver on a Thinkpad R60.
The commands
"modprobe iwl3945
sleep 1
iwconfig wlan0 essid any
iwconfig wlan0 key off
iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed
ip link set wlan0 up
dhclient wlan0"
worked fine with kernels 2.6.22 and 26.24.
But with 2.6.25 I could not get a connection.
I attach the relevant part of the syslog.
It does not contain any hint.
The scan-command "iwlist wlan0 scan" works
fine, as with the older kernels.
Regards,
Martin
