Bug#363465: linux-image-686: Broadcom NetXtreme BCM5751 Gigabit Ethernet PCI doesn't work anymore
Package: linux-image-686
Version: 2.6.15
Severity: normal
*** Please type your report below this line ***
I'm using a HP Compaq desktop computer which has an embedded Gigabit Ethernet
PCI in the motherboard. It works without problem up to kernel version 2.6.14,
but upgrading to higher versions make it stop working. When trying to dhclient
from 2.6.15 or 2.6.16 I get some PCI Bus Error messages and cannot connect to
DHCP Client, while the same version of the whole system with a lower version
(I've tried 2.6.8, 2.6.12 and 2.6.14 work perfectly).
lspci -v shows:

Please ask for whatever information you could need. I can also test things if
you don't have hardware available for testing and you need it.
Greetings,
Miry
