Bug#362816: initramfs-tools: Initramfs-tools creates a buggy initrd image file.

Sorry, of course it was update-initramfs -k 2.6.15-1-686 -u -t.

Upgrading udev resolved the problem. I did not see it in the "not upgraded" 
list from apt. Strange that it upgrades initramfs-tools without upgrading 
also to the latest udev...
