Package: kernel-patch-debian-2.6.9 Version: 2.6.9-3 Severity: normal Hi, The smbfs patches introduced in 2.6.9-3 cause the following funny phenomenon: I can create and erase files, but not write to them. More specifically, if I do "echo xxx > yyy" in an smbfs filesystem, it blocks, and after ctrl-C I see that an empty file yyy has been created. Any idea? Thanks, Itay -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9-2 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages kernel-patch-debian-2.6.9 depends on: ii bzip2 1.0.2-2 high-quality block-sorting file co -- no debconf information

Hi,I see that this bug has been submitted in December 2004 and pinged in August 2005, with no reaction from the submitter. As 2.6.9 is long gone from the archive, I'm closing this bug. If you're the submitter and the problem still persists, feel free to reopen it (or to open a new one) with updated information. Thanks and best regards, Jurij Smakov jurij@wooyd.org Key: http://www.wooyd.org/pgpkey/ KeyID: C99E03CC
