Bug#286803: kernel-source-2.6.9: Kind of a memory leak in kernel 2.6?

Hi Ingo,

You have filed the bug against kernel 2.6.9 in Debian a while ago, suggesting that there can be a memory leak, affecting MySQL. Last message to this bug was posted over half a year ago, and the kernels against which the bug was filed are now gone from the Debian archive. We are sorry that we could not resolve your problem, however it appears to be pretty tricky, and might be beyound the capabilities of the Debian kernel team. If you are still experiencing the problem with newer kernels, I suggest you contact the Linux Kernel Mailing list, or file the report with the kernel bug tracking system (bugzilla.kernel.org). If you have any reasons to believe that this bug should still be open in the Debian BTS, please provide updated information, otherwise I'll close it a week from now (on Sunday, April 2nd 2006).

Thanks and best regards,

Jurij Smakov jurij@wooyd.org
