Hello all,
Thanks to Adeodato Simó I found this bug which is the one that I've been
searching with no luck.
My experience is very similiar to yours, I upgraded to a 2.6.15.4 from
2.6.14.5. I use vanilla kernel, not debian (sorry :/ ). First I noticed bizarre
attributes after some booting problems, I removed them all with chattr -R = *
and then system booted, but some simlinks could not be removed.
After some research I opted for booting from a live kubuntu, I issued a
reiserfsck, the check option returned an "everything's ok" message and that
misleaded me, but after some more test I issued a --rebuild-tree that showed me
some little errors so it corrected them. Even after this I used the
- --clean-attributes option, just in case ;).
Now I see and feel everything's ok, but the issue is not minor. Hope this
experience helps.
Cheers,
