Beware that some packages depend versioned on udev. They probably
expect that newer udev to not only be installed, but also running...

And hooks for udev possibly behave wrongly (perhaps even fatally?) when
hooked into a too old udev?


I am not saying this is impossible, just that it is most probably
harder than simple divert.
