Most likely a kernel bug, less likely a hardware fault, or
perhaps even something lame like not having enough memmory.
I'd start by looking at the latter. Then try moving to a
newer kernel like 2.6.11 or 2.6.12. I don't think that 2.6.12 has
been uploaded yet, though it is being worked on. 2.6.10 is dead
except on one or two arches that are dragging their heals.
