Question about make-kpkg
Hi,
I'm compiling newest version of kernel (from ftp.kernel.org)
with make-kpkg. The .DEB files are correctly produced but when I
installed de kernel-headers one, I noticed that a lot of things are
missing:
Module.symvers
crypto
drivers
fs
init
ipc
kernel
kernel-headers.revision
lib
mm
net
scripts -> ../kernel-kbuild-2.6-3/scripts
security
sound
usr
all these missing items are present in precompiled kernel-headers packages.
I'm interested particularly in the Module.symvers file and scripts folder which are very important to integrate externel modules out of tree.
also, there in no dependency on the kernel-kbuild-2.6-3 package.
Did I miss something ? Is there a special procedure to procedure to produce kernel packages like precompiled ones ?
Also, could you please give me all the information needed to successfully build my own kernels ?
Thanks a lot
