Bug#310243: hard drive was culprit. please closed
I put the hard drive into a new, trusted, x86-based system using a
2.6.12-rc6 kernel and lo and behold. The same error happens after
about 15gb of data copied to the disk. This proves that the hard drive
is bad. This is a less than a year old drive that was working fine up
to the point that I transfer it to the Mac. Somewhere along that line,
something caused the drive to die. Who knows why.
Please close this bug.
