Bug#282269: Which problems did you observe without -ffreestanding?
Hi Bastian,
-ffreestanding might make sense in the Linux kernel [1,2,3], but I Don't
know about current breakages in the Linux kernel without it that aren't
workarounded.
Could you describe some of the example you metion in your bug report
where the lack of this flag causes breakages in the current kernel
sources?
