Bug#279696: Please, disable the "ub" driver building

Package: kernel-image-2.6.9-i386
Severity: important

The new "ub" module, introduced in linux 2.6.9 is the new driver for USB
mass storage devices that doesn't emulate scsi device, but creates new
/dev/ub* block devices instead. It looks promising, however now it's not
enough mature to be usable. It causes "oops" and system hangs when
plugging in usb drives on some people's machines and as well on my own computers,
while good old "usb-storage" driver works great. Also, with "ub" driver, some programs
segfault (for instance - Nautilus). So I ask to disable this driver in Debian kernel
packages until it becomes more stable. Thanks.
